We went to Pumkin Town Sunday afternoon. Trace and Isabella had a great time. They both picked out pumpkins and of course Bella tried to eat hers!

Happy Birthday Isabella Kate!!

I can't believe that it has been one year since my precious baby girl came into our lives. It seems like yesterday I was trying to go to sleep before her early morning delivery. She came into the world at 7:33 on October 1, 2008. She has blessed my life in so many ways. It's always hard to imagine having another child and what that will be like. Will they be just like the first? Will they be total opposites? I know she is only one, but I can already tell she has her own little personality. She is a feisty baby girl! She is a sweet cuddler! She loves to hug and kiss. She even loves to hug her baby. She has a big hearty laugh. She has an adorable smile. She sticks up for herself. She tells brother when he has gone too far! She has a FULL head of hair, that looks quite crazy when not fixed.(that's why she's never without a bow) She loves to play in the grass. She loves to follow her big brother around and play with him in his room. At one she loves bananas, pancakes and crackers. She waves and says the cutest "Hiiiiiiii." She loves to clap spontaneously. She makes me smile! I am so thankful that God has blessed me with the privilege of being her mother. She brings so much JOY to my life. I love you Isabella Kate!!! Happy 1st Birthday!!

Race for the Cure

Well... I am officially a runner! I did my first 5K today. I NEVER thought I would be able to do that. Travis always told me I ran funny-I still might. In May a couple of friends and I started a "Couch to 5K" program. If I can do it, anyone can! We have been running ever since. We go 4 times a week and are up to 4 miles each day. I don't think any of us would have still been running this long if we didn't have each other to answer to. It has really been a good stress reliever and fun time to talk. Jennifer, Amber and I all ran in the Race for the Cure this morning. It was a great first race. It was so touching to see all of the survivors and the names of people who have lost their life to breast cancer. Hopefully this is just the first of many races to come! Bella Kate's first day!

Today was the first day of "pre-school" for my precious Bella Kate. She will be going a couple days a week. This week the kind of start them out slow and they just go until noon. Anyway- Daddy dropped her off and she did not cry one bit!!! We are both still in shock by that. She usually cries for just a minute at the church nursery. He walked her in and put her down on the floor and she started playing!! We will see if this lasts, or if she will realize next time. She had a good "report card." She was happy, ate most of her lunch, enjoyed nature, large motor, and playing with the teacher's name tag. Sounds like a fun day, huh?
