My Silly Girl

Here is my Bella Kate in an outift that I picked out for her. In the following pictures, there are outfits that she has picked out for herself. She is one SILLY girl!!!

RollerBaby! I promise she comes up with these crazy outfits, not me!

Here she has on some of Trace's superhero boxers on over her clothes and some funny glasses.

Yes-She did wear this to bed. She actually INSISTED! Her bathing suit, panties over that, and a sweatband on her pacifier. Magic wand in hand.

She decided the sweatband looked better on her arm.

Our summer of swimming

Trace has been taking swimming lessons all summer. He's been taking every year since he was probaby about 2 or 3. We usually take a 2 week class and then be done with it. Well... I decided to double up this summer at the last minute. I really wanted him to be a good swimmer and he just wasn't getting that with that short ammount of time each summer. We signed him up for a 2 week class with Miller at the Philcrest pool and then he has also been taking every Friday. I can't tell you how much he has improved!!!! I am so proud of him. He is swimming really good and loves it too! He jumps off the diving board and swims to the side and everything. We are going to keep taking through the school year since he loves it so much!

Great Wolf Lodge

Lat week we took a trip to the Great Wolf Lodge in Kansas City. It was a super fun trip. It was the perfect vacation place for kids/families. They have an indoor and outdoor water park, an arcade, a cool interactive game called Magiquest, a put put course, bedtime stories every night, cool rooms and a spa! It was also in a very good location. It was right next to an outlet mall, and a bunch of restaurants. I am beginning to sound like a commerical, but it was fun! We were actually really worried about the car trip with Bella, because sometimes going to Target can be an adventure. Anyway-that was the time when she was BEST behaved believe it or not! She did throw quite a few fits out of the car while we were there. Not pretty. Usually we fixed that with Barney or a sucker, or trying to ignore! Those of you with 2 year olds understand. I swear my son NEVER went through this stage. He must be the exception??!!?

Ready to hit the road!

Eating Wendy's in the car. Yes-Isabella does have on her bathing suit. She REFUSED to let me put on any clothes over it, and wore it in the car. She has a mind of her own!

She finally fell asleep when we were about 30 minutes away for KC.

We are finally here!!
Trace loved our room! We stayed in the "Kid Cabin." Trace had his own little area with a bunk bed and his own tv. It was really cute and he loved it!

Top bunk!

We ate at the TREX Cafe. Fun place for kids!

Trace and Bella after making their "Build a Wolf."

Isabella and Trace at the nighly storytime. All of the kids meet at the clocktower in the lobby and wear PJ's! It's really cute. And-yes Isabella has a sucker. She was throwing a fit and we needed to get her out of the room!!

Look who we saw in the gift shop after storytime!

Trace and Wiley

We went out to eat at Dave and Buster's. We met Travis' Uncle Gary and family there. It was a nice time to see them and have fun!

Cousin Kerri and Trace at Dave and Busters. Kerri was very nice to show Trace around the place and help him play all of the games.

Dancing at Dave and Busters.

Trav and Uncle Gary

Isabella and Campbell

Here are some pics from the water parks. They have an indoor water park and also an outdoor area. They were both very FUN!

Indoor slides! Trace was so brave and went on all of them! I was screaming going down with him in the double tube!

Trace practicing his swimming!

I'm ready to jump in!

We're not in this pic, but it's a good shot of part of the lodge.

My Baby T getting some sun.

Daddy and Trace at the indoor part

There was a interactive game called Magiquest. In the game you had a magic wand that you used all over the lodge. His code name was King George. Each day you could check your standing on the game in your room on a certain channel on the TV. It was really exciting to see "King George" in the top 5 points for the day. Trace went on 9 different quests and then got to fight the goblin and dragon at the end. This was SO right up his alley. He had always had a thing for wands and sticks. Not really sure why. They had this wand store, and you got to pick out a wand and even something for the top of it if you wanted to. It was really NEAT! He might have even liked this more than swimming! There were even Dads walking around doing the game. Kinda funny!

Whcih one should I get??

There were so many wands to choose from. He LOVED it!!

My new wand!!! I can't wait to use it. He had to watch a short video to explain the whole game.

Trace opening a treasure chest.

The talking tree gave Trace a clue.

I found it!

Trace fighting the Goblin. He beat him!

Time to go home :( Trace is sad, but Isabella is smiling for some reason!
We had a marvelous time at Great Wolf Lodge!
